We’ve formalised a strategic research partnership with South Korea’s National Security Research Institute (NSR) – the country’s leading government cybersecurity research agency – through NSR’s Partner Company Programme.

NSR is providing us with on-campus workspace and opportunities for collaborative research and development. Several NSR research teams have adopted Alpacon, our server access platform. Its machine-friendly API and streamlined access controls allow teams to integrate security into their workflows without compromising productivity.

A Natural Evolution of Existing Ties

The arrangement builds on a decade-long relationship. Our CEO, Eunyoung Jeong, previously served as a senior researcher at NSR for nearly ten years before founding AlpacaX, and NSR teams have been early adopters of Alpacon in demanding security environments.

“This partnership allows us to refine our technology against rigorous security standards,” said Jeong. “Having workspace within NSR puts us alongside researchers who need both strong security and operational efficiency – the balance we’re building Alpacon to deliver.”

What the Partnership Enables

Through our work together, we’ll further develop Alpacon to better serve high-security research environments and validate platform performance in critical operational contexts. We’ll also explore potential applications in enterprise and public-sector environments.

The Partner Company Programme is designed to foster collaboration between government research expertise and commercial innovation, supporting emerging security firms developing technologies relevant to critical infrastructure protection.

Why This Matters

Partnerships between government research agencies and early-stage technology companies are relatively uncommon in the cybersecurity sector. This collaboration provides us with technical validation and positions AlpacaX as a credible partner in the high-assurance security market.

“We’re building technology for environments where security cannot be compromised,” Jeong added. “Working directly with NSR confirms we’re meeting those standards.”

We’re committed to proving that security platforms can meet rigorous government standards without sacrificing developer experience. Learn more at the Alpacon product page.
