Following a highly competitive selection process, we were named one of the seven final startups in the 27th POSCO IMP Program back in July. The program offers us the opportunity to establish long-term partnerships with POSCO Group affiliates, connect with investors, and access invaluable support for commercialisation.
The Idea Market Place (IMP) program, organized by POSCO, one of the world’s leading steelmakers, aims to support early-stage, high-potential startups through mentoring, networking, and partnership opportunities. Since 2011, POSCO IMP has received over 10,000 applications and supported 107 startups with a total funding of over £18 million.
As part of the program, we had the opportunity to present at Demo Day last Wednesday, the 4th. This event brought startups together for a day of pitching, sharing visions, and building partnerships. On the same day, the regional round of Startup World Cup took place—one of the world’s largest global pitch competitions hosted by Pegasus Tech Ventures.
Representing us were our CEO, Eunyoung Jeong, and CTO, Jeeun Lee, who joined the event to engage with partners and showcase our platform. They each delivered compelling perspectives on the company’s mission, product strengths, and roadmap for global expansion.
In his IR pitch, Jeong spotlighted a growing enterprise concern: vulnerabilities in traditional server access management, primarily through widely used SSH protocols. He outlined how Alpacon, paired with its intuitive web-based shell solution, Websh, is redefining secure server access by incorporating built-in observability, scalability, and productivity at its core.
“We are honored to participate in the POSCO IMP program. This collaboration is a valuable opportunity to enhance our product value and broaden our customer reach,” he stated. He emphasised our ambitions to become a global leader in the DevSecOps market, reflecting a strong belief in our international competitiveness and the market's need for it.

Lee took the global stage at the Startup World Cup, showcasing Alpacon’s technical depth to an international audience. Her pitch focused on Alpacon’s ability to address security blind spots in DevOps practices—an issue that many enterprises still underestimate.
She presented Alpacon as a future-ready SaaS platform, focused on frictionless server management and automated compliance, with high scalability and cost-competitiveness to drive widespread adoption. Her presentation underscored our long-term ambition to grow Alpacon into a globally relevant solution, driven by strong engineering and a clear product strategy.
“Security should be built into infrastructure, not added as an afterthought,” said Lee. “With Alpacon, we’re focused on delivering a seamless experience that balances security, usability, and visibility—so teams can operate with confidence and clarity at scale.”

Our participation at the POSCO IMP is more than a moment of recognition—it marks our readiness to scale and our ambition to grow beyond early traction. Building on the momentum from the program, we are now moving forward with a PoC in collaboration with a POSCO-affiliated expert. This collaboration will focus on demonstrating our technology in one of the most demanding and security-conscious industrial IT environments, validating not only our product’s robustness but also its readiness for wide-scale enterprise deployment across complex ecosystems.
As we move forward, we aim to deepen these relationships, explore further cases, and develop Alpacon into an even better solution for secure infrastructure management. We’re excited about the journey ahead, and we’re open to new PoC opportunities with partners who share our vision. If you're exploring secure infrastructure access at scale, we'd love to talk!
